1830

By 1806, Giles Co had been formed from Montgomery, Monroe, & Tazewell Counties, and in 1824, Logan was formed from Monroe, Giles, Cabell, Tazewell, and Kanawha Counties. The stage was set for the formation of Fayette Co in 1831 from Logan, Greenbrier, Nicholas & Kanawha Counties. Then in 1850, Raleigh Co was formed out of Fayette.
