NAADI PREDICTION, AN ANCIENT HINDU SAASTRA
Naadi in Tamil means in pursuit . Because at the destined time the destined individual
comes in search of his/her naadi. these are called naadis.
The naadi I am referring to here is called the "Kausika Mahasiva Naadi". The naadi written by Rishi Kousika, is based presumably on the conversation between Goddess Parvathi and Lord Siva, during which, Goddess Parvathi treating all the human beings as Her children, asks Lord Siva about the future of each of Her child and Lord Siva answers Her.
There is rebirth for all souls unless a soul has attained complete liberation. At any moment of time many new lives (including plant and animals) arrive on this earth. However the rishis ignoring the plants and animals concentrated only on the human beings and were able to predict in details the important events in the lives of many human beings but, not for all . They gave the predictions for only those who were destined (as foreseen by the Rishis) to seek these predictions.
These predictions were inscribed on palm leaves. Like the many arts and science of the olden days these predictions were also in Sanskrit. However, A Chola King of South India, being a lover and patron of Science and Arts, later (about 1000 years before) gathered all the available palm leaves containing not only Naadi predictions, but write-ups on many other subjects, got them translated in Tamil (pertaining to most of the subjects) and stored all these leaves in big libraries in one of the palaces of the Kings called ,Saraswati Mahal", which is existent even today, in Tanjavur in Tamil Nadu
More than 300 years back, these palm leaves were auctioned during the British rule of India and were bought by some people in "Vaitheeswaran Koil", whose descendents are holding them even today. Vaitheeswearan Koil is in the district of Tanjavur which houses many beautiful temples built by the Chola Kings. One such famous temple is the "Brahatheeswarar Koil" These palm leaves namely Sri Kausika Mahasiva Naadi, containing predictions pertaining to many human beings, have been broadly grouped under 108 categories. Each category is identified with the "markings on the human thumb (left in the case of women and right in the case of men). Each category is named separately "Rettai Chuli Mahudam" (Double circled Crown) etc. etc.
A person is able to get his leaf only at the destined time. (I myself have tried half a dozen times during the last several years, whenever I visited Vaitheeswaran Koil, but I never succeeded in getting my leaf)
The thumb impression of a person is obtained and after ascertaining its classification, the well-trained reader is able to locate four or five bundles of leaves (each containing about anything between 25 to 100 leaves). They are all punched with two equi-distant holes in the centre and tied in between two quarter inch thick wooden frames (about 10 to 16 inches in length and one inch in width) The reader brings only one such bundle at a time and he reads for only one person. The reading for a person's introductory part takes anything between 30 minutes to one hour depending on the length of the life he is going to live.
However it may take many hours or even days to locate the person's correct naadi leaf. The writngs are in poetry form. A reader who is specially trained to read this is expected to live a very rigid and righteous living. He is able to read only about 2 to 4 persons� naadis per day depending on how much time is taken for locating each person�s naadi. Please DO NOT, I REPEAT "DO NOT" directly send details of your name, other relevant details directly to any naadi reader whether mentioned in this site or any other website, as then you will have no way of verifying the predictions ( Naadi tells about future only and not about the past). Please have some one trustworthy to act on your behalf and to whom you can give your thumb-impressionm details etc. Details of yourself should never be given to the naadi reader direct, because then it may be used by some unscrupulous and materialistic persons to take money out of you by cooking up predictions, even if your naadi is not traceable. After all, you must understand that there is no guarantee that you will get your Naadi. You may not get it at all. Also when sitting with the reader to locate your naadi do not volunteer any information about yourself, under any circumstances, even should there be any leading questions from the naadi reader
FOR SOME TIME THERE HAVE BEEN MAILS COMING TO ME THAT RAJU'S NAADI JOTHIDA NILAYAM HAS BEEN CLOSED ETC. ETC. I CONDUCTED AN IMPARTIAL INVESTIGATION INTO THOSE WILD ALLEGATIONS AND HAVE FOUND OUT THAT PEOPLE HAVE UNNECESSARILY CAST ASPERSIONS ON RAJU. ONLY MISTAKE HE DID WAS TO HAVE OPENED A BRANCH IN MOHALI AND HAD CONSEQUENTLY RUN INTO TROUBLES. HE CREATED ENMITY WITH SOME OTHER PEOPLE WHO WERE RUNNING BRIGHU NAADI HOTHIDA NILAYAM BY VIRTUE OF A TOUGH COMPETITION. HE ULTIMATELY HAD TO CLOSE DOWN THAT. HIS DELHI UNIT IS RUNNING WELL AS USUAL. I VISITED THE PLACED EVEN TODAY (7 NOV 2006).

I will mention here how the reader started reading mine which can be construed as the routine followed by most of the Naadi readers
Generally appointments have to be taken in view of lot of time requirement. When I went with my wife on Sunday, the 4th April 99, we had to wait for nearly two hours before our turn came. We were lucky, in the sense, the earlier two people had visited twice earlier but at those times their leaves could not be traced and so they came again today (one of them did not get the leaf for him at all).
My thumb impression was obtained earlier and the matching bundles of leaves were located and then we were called in side. After we were seated, the reader opened a bundle. He took out the first leaf and started reading (rather singing) the first stanza. He then explained in prose in Tamil (He has a translator to assist him for other languages) what he sang earlier. Eg. This naadi pertains to the person named so and so, having his mother alone alive with one brother and sister alive as of today. His mother's name is this. His wife is sickly etc. etc. After each stanza he verifies whether all the details as stated in the leaf are tallying or not otherwise he goes to the next leaf which will contain totally or partially different set of details.
For me, he went through all the leaves in a bundle. In one leaf details regarding my children tallied, but other details did not tally. In one, my brother/sister details tallied but not wife's. Like this the entire bundle was rejected. He then took back the bundle inside a room where he had stored some leaves. ( He keeps most of them at Vaitheeswaran Koil and brings them here depending on the needs)
In the second bundle as he started reading the third leaf I could sense it was mine. He sang like this: "This leaf belongs to a person whose wife's name is Sudha. He has two circled Crown on his thumb. His mother's name is Subbalakshmi, father's name, Venkataraman who is no more. His name is Krishnan and he is born in a high caste family of good antecedents. He has two children. One elder daughter is married and the younger, the son is studying in school etc.The year of birth is 1939/40. The planetary positions are like this etc.etc. After ascertaining, beyond all doubts, that this was my naadi leaf he went about reading/singing the entire write-up (simultaneously recording it in an audio cassette) and afterwards he just asked us to wait outside so that he could write all the predictions in a notebook in a readable form. This reading pertained to the first Chapter (Kandam) which is a sort of introductory and general one. The horoscope he prepared based on the planetary positions prevailed at the time of my birth as per the naadi leaf, one hundred per cent tallied with that prepared by my parents years ago after my birth! The details of all the Kandams (Chapters) are given below:
Kandam 2 : Contains details on Wealth, Eyes, Family, Education and Speech
Kandam 3 : Contains details about the number of brothers and sisters, affection, helping tendency / mutual ill-feeling, Ears, Courtliness, House-hold utensils etc.
Kandam 4 : Contains details about Mother, House, Vehicles, Land and pleasures.
Kandam 5 : Contains details about Children, Birth, death, reason for not having children, adoptdion of remedial measures for having children, future lives of children etc.
Kandam 6 : Contains details about Disease, Debts, Enemies and Court Cases, Remedial measures for avoidance and success,
Kandam 7 : Contains details about Time of marriage, Place, Name, Lagnam, Planetory positions of the bride/groom. Future married life etc.
Kandam 8 : Contains details on longevity, accident/s and impending dangers, age, month, date, day, time, star, Lagnam and place of death.
Kandam 9 : Contains prediction about father, wealth, visit to temples, luck, spiritual tendencies, charitable deeds etc.
Kandam 10 : Contains details on profession, job, business, change of place, good /bad effects in profession.
Kandam 11 : Contains details about Profits and second marriage if any
Kandam 12 : Contains details about Major Expenditure, Foreign Visits, next birth and attainment of salvation etc.
Kandam 13 : SANTHI PARIHARAM: Deals with previous birth, sins committed, remedial measures for getting rid of the effect of the past birth�s sins etc.
Kandam 14 : DEEKSHAI PARIHARAM: Deals with Mantra Japam, wearing of Rakshai (Talisman) for protection against troubles from enemies, witch-craft etc.
Kandam 15 : OUSHADA KANDAM: (OUSHADA means medicine). This kandam deals with medicines for chronic diseases and their treatment, modus of medicine-in-take etc. etc.
Kandam 16 ; DASA BUKTHI KANDAM: Deals with predictions for the running Dasa Bukthi (Major and sub-periods of planetory movements)
Note: (a) Kandams 2 to 12 will deal with the future predictions , from the date of reading of the naadi till the end of life.
(b)In order that these predictions should occur exactly, the Rishis have insisted that the peron should be freed from all sins and hence the pariharas have been suggested in Kandams 13 and 14 which have to be performed with sincerity and full involvement.
(c) Besides the above 16 Kandams there are GNYANA KANDAM, PRASNA KANDAM, DASA BUKTHI SANTHI KANDAM AND POLITICS AND POLITICAL CAREER KANDAM

His rates are also cheap because South India itself is very cheap.The reading procedure is same here. Here also the identification is from thumb impression of an individual. I had got my complete Khandams read at this center. Several leaves almost came upto tallying with my details but had to be discarded for one difference or the other until the final one was found which produced my exact horoscope It is said there are normally seven naadis for every person written by seven different Rishis (Saptha Rishis). So if a nadi is available for one person with one Naadi Reader then six other types of Naadis should be generally availabel unless they are misplaced. There have been complaints from some people that one Mukundan (brother-in-law of Shri V. Ramdoss, authorised by Ramdoss to read Naadis and deal directly with clients, has taken several thousands of rupees from different clients for Puja by Ramdoss's guru toward's "Pariharam" but did not account them to Ramdoss properly, with the result, those clients have not been sent the promised "prasadams". This is most unfortunate. I took up this matter with Ramdoss rather sternly and he apologised to me and said that he would get rid of that Mukundan and eventually did. Ever since I put up this site a decade ago, a lot has happened on the monetary front of Naadi reading. More and more money minded readers have come up. Many on site services have come up. They demand all your details in a format so that it is very easy for them to prepare naadi leaves for you, even if naadis may not actually be available for you. After all naadi talks about future only and you cannot say anything about the predictions until they actually happen or do not happen.
I remember sometime in 1950 when my family members, naadis were read ( those days people used to visit homes with bundles of naadi leaves) those readers accepted donations and food and were not demanding specific charges. Today naadi reading has become highly commercialised. You visit Vaitheeswaran Koil. You will find, like in government departments, lots of middlemen/agents to take you to some particular Naadi reader. When earning money has become the consideration, where can you find truth and committment? Still there are some people who do a genuine job. My advice to all is, be care ful, do not volunteer any information. If Pujas are suggested, avoid giving money unless you are sure it would be done, but ask how you can yourself employ some pundit and do it.
