| Sana is not you average little girl. Since she was young, she's always been in the spotlight and has been growing in to quite the little actress. Not to mention, she has her own giggolo, Rei! But while she might love her job (and Rei), school life is anything but awesome. Her teacher is hopeless as the guys in Sana's class continue to act up everyday, preventing any kind of normal classroom life. And their leader, Hayama Akito, is getting on Sana's last nerve. So she and the rest of the girls have waged war to gain back their normal school days. Hayama and Sana become big rivals and sworn enemies. But Akito isn't quite the evil punk Sana always imagined, and as Sana learns more about the class bully, her neverending desire to help those in need kicks in. She becomes determined to set Hayama on the right path. Slowly, hate becomes something more and Sana learns to help her own problems along the way. |
| Kodocha is a long series, lasting 102 episodes. I'm warning those who can't wait until the DVD release here in the US-Kodocha is not for a beginner otaku. The speed in which Sana talks would put NASCAR drives to shame. It's very hard to keep up with the subtitles as Sana talks a mile a minute. And also, if you adore the manga, you might be disappointed with the show a bit. The show starts out following the manga almost to a T, but then goes off the path and never finds it again. The story develops in a totally different way. But it's still a series to catch. |

| Keep an eye out for all your favorite characters from the manga, including Mama, Rei, Naozumi, Tsuyoshi, Aya, and all of the other misfits. (BTW, Hayama's dad....VERY strange in the show) Kodocha will be avaliable from Funimation, June 28th, 2005. I'm not sure how many episodes the plan on putting on a disc yet.
