Facilities-

• The Technion campus has a supermarket,a bookstore, cafeterias, a post office, bank, health clinic, dentist,many computer labs, and a first class sports center.
• A good shopping area with stores and restaurants is just a ten-minute walk from campus.

Student Organization-

• The Technion offers sports facilities and an extensive Student Union building which houses many social activities, student clubs, and organizations. unfortunately, their site is in Hebrew, ( you can get to it easily through the technion web site).

Student Activities-

• All students are entitled to take part in the student social activities, which include movies, dances, and concerts.
• The Student Union Building
  • plays host to a large array of Technion organized student activities and events. Below is a listing of some of the events and services offered at the Student Union by the Technion:
    1. Two Movies Nightly - Generally releases within the last year.
    2. Dance Classes - The Technion offers Salsa, Western, and other dance classes.
    3. The University Pub - Unlike Penn State, the Technion is not a dry campus.
    4. Two Restaurants - One Kosher meat and one Kosher dairy restaurant.
    5. University Holiday Parties - The Technion hosts Purim and other holiday parties.
    6. The Technion also has: On-Campus Grocery Store - Reasonably priced but limited selection.
    7. Indoor swimming facilities -Free entrance with student ID.

Special Programs For Exchange Students

• In conjunction with the University of Haifa, all exchange students at the Technion can participate in the Haifa Overseas Program activities.
• These include field trips and academic tours to different scenic and historic parts of the country, from the Golan Heights to the Judean Desert and beyond.

Facilities-

• The sports center has indoor and outdoor basketball courts, an Olympic size swimming pool, an outdoor swimming pool, tennis and racquetball courts, and an excellent workout facility.

Applying for a Technion Gym Membership Card-

1. 1 Passport Photo ~66 Shekels (half a year) or ~132 Shekels (full year).
2. Technion Student ID Card
3. Doctors Release Form Notes
4. The office to apply for a membership card is only open Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:30am - noon.
5. You are required to bring a workout towel to the gym with you to cover the seat of the equipment you are using.
