The family decided to move west some time after 1911, settling in a small community named Plaska, Texas in Hall County. Two more children were added to the family.

On December 14, 1916 my Grandfather Tom Spry purchased his first farm , 160 acres of very fertile land locarted on the Red River, still in the Plaska area. The entire family helped with the farming where they became successful cotton farmers.
My Mother continued to live in Hall County where she met and married my Father Clyde D. Lee.
