Robert Kunstel, Jr. (1897-1980)
Eleanor Marie Kunstel Robert William Kunstel James Vieth Kunstel (1931-1995) David Walter Kunstel Robert Kunstel, Jr. was born in Austria on December 22, 1897 to Robert Kunstel, Sr. and Mary Gregovich. He arrived in the United States via Ellis Island with his mother and his younger brother Rudy, as they joined their father in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1919, Robert Kunstel, Jr. married Elizabeth Agnes Vieth (1899-1985) and began work for the Frisco Railroad in St. Louis, Missouri. The family resided at 8405 Halls Ferry Road in St. Louis before moving to 2046 Hildred Ave. during the 1940s. They attended Holy Cross Church in St. Louis, and Corpus Christi Church in Jennings, Missouri. Robert worked in a variety of positions for Frisco, beginning as an office boy, accountant, traveling auditor, and eventually retiring as an executive in the accounting department. He was the father of five children, and enjoyed vacationing and fishing at the Lake Of The Ozarks in Southern Missouri. He died on September 12, 1980 and is buried with his wife Elsie in the Frederick Fischer family plot at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis.
