Amendment I: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

What a powerful statement to have as the first amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America! Yet this is probably the most abused, misused, misquoted statement in the history of the world. We allow this to happen because we have become lazy and ignorant. Don't keep yourself in the dark.... Learn what our nation is all about. Get your lazy butt out from in front of that television and learn something before it's too late.

You know, if we extrapolated the idea of seperation of Church and State as we are being told it was meant to be as written in the first amendment, we would have the following results.

Separation of free speech and the state. Free speech cannot be allowed in public areas, places of government buisness, or condoned by the Federal Government. Free speech cannot be allowed on public school property, etc.

Separation of assembly and state. Peaceable assembly cannot be allowed in public areas, places of government buisness, or condoned by the Federal government. Peaceable assembly cannot be allowed on public school property, etc.

Separation of petition and the state. Petitioning of the government cannot be allowed..... Is anyone getting shaken up yet?

Well enough of this gloomy stuff for now. This page is just begun construction and I'm sure I'll have plenty more to say as I excercise my right to free speech. Oh, and as a side note, the freedom we have in our country does not include freedom from responsibility!
