I cry inside for my kindred friends who have been victums of violent crimes against them, their bodies, their minds, and their souls. My human grandfather believed that if children grew up being taught to love all animals that they would be good, kind people when they became adults. He believed all children should have pets to teach these children unconditional love and learn unconditional love from their pets. My human grandfather was a very wise man. I mean the Deliberate Torture of an animal for the thrill of causing pain to a creature smaller and weaker. A few years back I read the book It by Stephen King. The evil clown didn't bother me. What bothered me was the story of a little boy, Patrick, and an abandoned refrigerator. Patrick liked to lock animals in the refrigerator and keep them there until they died from aphixiation. He started with birds and mice and then worked his way up to a Cocker Spaniel puppy. King spent quite a few pages describing the pup's death. In the back of my mind, I was wondering, "When will Patrick want to do this to a kid?" And frankly, I was glad when the monster got him first.
