In Transit: Interviews and Photographs of People on the Bus - SoHo/Workshop/8622
Perhaps the greatest description of this month's Landmark site, "In Transit: Interviews and Photographs of People on the Bus", comes from the homesteader himself, intransit7 of SoHo:
"In 1992 I started riding the buses around the San Francisco Bay Area, interviewing people and photographing them. It began as a way to overcome my fear of talking to strangers, but I also learned quite a bit.
What has fascinated me most is the incredible depth and richness of the people I've met. Everyone is passionate about something, and everyone has a story to tell. What's more, a lot of people would love to tell you that story, if you only ask.
I hope this work will remind us of the importance of building relationships with others. Internet related technologies promise many things, but they are no substitute for real human contact."
