The BoSpy Program

Would you like to do something more to remove the threat of BO on the Net than simply keeping it off your own computer?
If you would like to report attempted cracks (or just know when someone was trying to get into your computer again), here is a very nice little program for you:

BoSpy's Features include:

  1. Time/date stamps all attempted BO client connections.
  2. Lists every BO command a cracker tries to use!
  3. All activity can be logged to a text file.
  4. Allows you to read the text from BO's System Dialog Box command (Making it possible in some circumstances to have a small chat with the person by using BoSpy's "Send Message" window to write back to them.)
  5. Button to resolve cracker's IP number to ISP host name.
  6. Your choice of how BoSpy warns you (or not at all): Sound system, flashing SysTray icon, program window pops up; any combination.

( IF BoSpy was the only spoofer program in existence, I'd still be doing BO ping sweeps to help people since you can tell if someone is only trying to warn you! )

In order for BoSpy to be used effectively against crackers, you need to edit its .cbr file to fool crackers into thinking there is a real BO-server installed on your computer. The more convincing the file, the more commands they'll use, making it easier to get them kicked off the Net. You may write to me for directions on configuring the .cbr file ( Read Guide.txt first which is included in my distribution of the program below) or other questions on how to use BoSpy. I will also provide instructions (and help) on tracking down a cracker's ISP to register a complaint against them!

Note: My trust level in the author(s) of BoSpy has gone up again, since Chaplin Corp sent me a copy of the source code to their program. They also said that some time in the future they will release the code to the public; please do NOT ask me for it, I promised them no one else would see my copy.
