October 2000    Another trip ... and another chance to indulge my "hobby"

Well, this is who the pizza delivery guy met when he brought my order to the room.  Ok, so I still haven't gone out ... but a "baby step" ... speaking of baby steps -- does anybody out there remember "What About Bob?"

Maybe the last picture you'll see of me wearing glasses??  In October, I took the plunge (after 40 yrs wearing glasses) and got contacts.  Hey, nobody said I'm not vain!! And a definite fringe benefit ... I can actually SEE when I'm putting on makeup now :)  So does that mean no more excuses for doing a crummy job at it?  No way!! Anyway, my wife was a bit upset over this change ... because I think she knew exactly WHO  it was who wanted to get herself contacts!  And how "her" face would no longer be camoflauged by glasses .. .
