Mission Statement
Bay Area American Indians Two-Spirits (BAAITS) exists to restore and recover the role of Two-Spirited people within the American Indian community by creating forums for the spiritual, cultural and artistic expression of Two-Spirit people.


Organizational  Description

BAAITS is a community-based volunteer organization offering culturally relevant   activities for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered Native Americans; their families and friends. Two-Spirit refers to the commonly shared notion; among many Native American tribes that some individuals naturally possessed; and manifested both a male and a female spirit.; These Two-Spirited individuals; would commonly be identified as Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual or Transgendered; in modern American.
Bay Area American Indian Two Spirits (B.A.A.I.T.S.) is a group of Gay, Lesbian,&; Bisexual, and Transgendered people of American Indian ancestry who come; together to socialize, share and network

All BAAITS activities are alcohol and chemical free.  Anyone found to be under the influence will be asked to leave.
