Perfect. That's the only word to describe your presentation.
I heard so many grateful, awe-stricken, and worshipful comments about your artistry,
mission, talent, authenticity, and significance that it would be hard to
make any comment other than "perfect.'
I am sure that part of your impact was due to the somewhat isolated domain of the heartland. Poetic souls are very private events in central Wisconsin, so to many of the audience members your kindred spirit waas a gift and a revelation. And an affirmation.
Our dean was highly impressed and told me so. The fellow that reacted to your
signboard on stage "Fags Die, God Laughs" - the one with the comment about
wanting to torture people that hate (irony?) - is actually our local Public
Radio announcer. He called me the next morning to speak of "synchronicity"
because evidently, in Clinton's state of the union address that same night,
Clinton had recognized Barney Frank's courage in being the only "out"
member of Congress.
Our two theatre professors praised your storytelling abilities
and a math professor said your piano playing "blew him away." I was
mesmerized by your music.
So, no, Tom: not too much or too little or too
long or too short - just the perfect Karmic moment in time. The math
professor says we have to get you back in a few years time. Yes? Thank YOU
for being YOU!
