I have a vision that one day . . .

all members of the Uniting Church will experience freedom, justice and equality whatever their sexual orientation

the Uniting Church will cherish and nuture all baptised children and celebrate homosexual orientation and heterosexual orientation as God given ways or experiencing God's good gift of sexuality.

we trust in Jesus Christ, who proclaimed the reign of God: preaching good news to all and release to the captives, teaching by word and deed and blessing the children, healing the sick and binding up the brokenhearted and eating with outcasts.

to see the world from God's perspective, is to see the world through young eyes, with a heart filled with joy and wonder for the present and visions of hope for the future . . .

I saw a child carrying a light. I asked him where it came from. He blew it out and said: "Now you tell me where has it gone?"

old people comfort themselves with dreams of what might have been . . .
and long for a past that never was . . .

young people are thrilled by visions of what will be . . .
and experience purpose and empowerment as they move forward . . .

"we are about empowering people to particpate in community"

we drank wine before the creation of the vine

with believers in every time and place,

we rejoice that nothing in life or in death can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. Amen.
