the varied passions, aspects and interests of my life. I
have lived most of my life in the wild island of Tasmania on the
edge of the Great Southern Ocean, and rim of the Pacific, somewhere
just south of Australia and north of the Antarctic. This
is my little corner of cyberspace. I have left many times to journey
around the world on fascinating voyages of discovery
of both the inner self and the wondrous world I live in. Much
can be gleaned by the way I live my daily life, and thoughts
about the world i live in the the varied pages of my site

loving companion in the snow

| After
the death of my beloved Bjorn
in Jan 2004 the immediate thought of another dog in my live was
inconceivable. I knew however with time that I would miss having
such a loving and loyal companion. At the end of May 2004 a tiny
9 week old Keeshond (Dutch Barge Dog) pup came into my life.
I have called her Sigríðr
Aðalbjörg , an Icelandic
Viking name meaning Woman of great beauty and strength.

And Life Has Changed Again
Life
for me is an eternal adventure and journey ...I left Tasmania
in Dec 2000, returning to Britain to live in rural Scotland, on
the edge of the Western Highlands and Isles. I then moved
to London, and have since toured a good deal in Europe
. In October I returned to my beloved rainforest home in the Wild
West of Tasmania. Since then I have spent much time on the windswept
beautiful Flinders Island in the Furneaux Group of Bass Strait.
I now live between these vastly contrasting and magnificent places

| Sadly
2003 was a tough year with my father contracting Asbestosis, and
passing away at home with my mother sister and I nursing him on
Jan 2004. Just a few days after my father died soi did my beloved
Bjorn. On a holiday visit to see my sick father in Tasmania
in March 2003, I became extremely ill and was stranded there for
6 months, and was subsequently diagnosed with Multiple
Sclerosis . See this link for an explanation of this disease.
I am presently reinventing my life, as I have always done, to
this new reality, something that i am VERY good at! It is
not something that will dictate my future but add a new dimension
to it. I call it "another spoke in the wheel of life". |

- What am I like ?
Dynamic,
is the way to describe me, I have been many jobs in my life many as a Blue-collar
labourer of sorts. However such labels are apt to be very misleading, and
something I care little for. Jack-of-all-Trades-Master- of-None actually,
is the best thing to describe me. being capable of most things I put my
hand or mind to! You however will always find me impossible to pigeon hole.
I am a passionate Celt born in the "Misty Isles".... Welsh by birth,
to Scottish blood , thus my Gaelic name Rhuari - Rory. Born in 1964
I am , friendly, very vivacious, poetic, spontaneous in an earthy
sensual way. Hopefully the eclectic mix of pages on this site will
give you much deeper insight into diverse nature. |

life is an constant adventure, I am a nomadic traveller, one that
has always followed "the other path" - to my own peril and own delight,
and to others amazement, bewilderment and frustration. Born in the British
Isles SCOTLAND , where I have returned and
lived several times. I have also lived in Denmark, Germany,
NZ, West Indies, New Hampshire USA and my second home NORWAY! |

love a natural earthy life of connectedness, openness, and HONESTY
foremost to one's self and then others. I am romantic, with a poetic
nature and love of realism. (See my POETRY
and PHILOSOPHY
page. I am deeply passionate, sensual, demonstrative and creative
along with the idiosyncrasies that go with that! My connection with
nature means I am a keen botanist, skier, hiker, sailor, traveller, full
time nomad, writer (mostly poetry), who also enjoys philosophy, spirituality
(Tibetan Buddhism is close to my belief of the nature of the world).
I
have a real thirst for life and experience and love, eclectic
people from exotic places that challenge me. Open mindedness,
sensitivity and intimate communication of substance being deeply
connected with my earthy Capricorn nature. Being true to my
nomadic roots I am embarking on a new life and adventure,
in my beloved home Tasmania, and will wait and see where life's
journey takes me to next........ These days my international
travel is very limited but that is more than taken up by travels
onf the mind and the many visitors i have in my little world
