GENDER COALITION
Crossdresser Donna Wittman, who started the group in July 2001, is looking into affiliating with Renaissance in Pennsylvania. The group is registered with the State of Florida and meets once a month at a secure, private church in Oakland Park.
A changing room is available there about 30 minutes or so before the socials begin. Please e-mail Donna Wittman to make arrangements for using the room.
The South Florida Gender Coalition, in addition to striving to unify the transgender community in South Florida and educating the general public about important transgender issues, plans to sponsor social get-togethers, holiday parties and also attend occasional social functions sponsored by Tri-Ess in Miami.
The annual dues are $24 per year. The monthly meeting fee is $5. The September meeting, a pot luck dinner, was attended by 20 girls. Considering how new the organization is, the turnout can only be described as excellent. In the coming weeks and months, efforts will be made to let the TG community know we are here.
The South Florida Gender Coalition will be a great place to meet others like yourself. Feel free to bring your spouse, girlfriend, boyfriend or significant other. Everyone is expected to behave and act ladylike at all socials and functions.

The group will meet the first Saturday of the month. For the location, please e-mail Donna, the group's interim director until elections are held. Please note: Since other church events are sometimes held there, don't fret if you see the parking lot full of cars. Everyone at the church is very accepting and open. Meetings will be either be held in the church's sanctuary or an adjacent all-purpose room.
