In 1978, my husband, Mike Carmack purchased his first coonhound. She was a little brindle Plott female named Candy Ann. She was Cascade bred and left a soft spot in the heart of Mike for a brindle dog. I had been raising, hunting and showing Treeing Walker Coonhounds for many years and had much success in the breed. I was looking for another challenege, a different breed to get involved with. With Mike's brindle nostalgia and my good friends Jeff & Christina Farthing's knowledge and sound breeding program, the choice was easy....Plotts! We purchased our first Plott female from the Farthing's and haven't looked back. We still have a lot to learn, but with good friends and hard work, we should be able to reach our goal of breeding and raising beautiful and functional Plott Hounds. |
