This is a game created by a neighbor of mine, whom we called Tails. I believe he invented it six or seven years ago. What you see below is what I can remember of this game we used to play. ~~Silver Starr SONIC TAG Number of Players: at least 3 What you need to play: a large area, and two areas for "safe" spots Objective: to avoid being captured by Robotnik Terminology: ------------ Two areas should be designated as safe spots: one safe spot is Robotropolis and the other is Knothole. Robotropolis is the area where freedom fighters are roboticized. After visiting this area, they help Robotnik capture the remaining freedom fighters. Knothole works differently. While the freedom fighters are in Knothole, Robotnik cannot come and capture them. However, they can only stay in Knothole for a minute before they have to leave. How to Play: ------------ Just as in a normal game of tag, one person must be picked to be it. This person is Robotnik. Everybody who is "not it" are freedom fighters. The freedom fighters have a head start of five seconds before Robotnik starts to chase them. Once Robotnik tags a freedom fighter, he takes them to Robotropolis. After the freedom fighter steps inside Robotropolis, they are also it. This freedom fighter helps Robotnik tag other freedom fighters. The game ends if everybody is roboticized or if Robotnik is unable to capture all of the freedom fighters within a certain amount of time. Variations of the Game: ----------------------- You can play this in the dark, too. The players must be in an open area (to avoid running into cars or trees) that is partially lit up by a light (a street light works well). Robotropolis is located in part of the lighted area, and there is no Knothole since the freedom fighters can hide in the dark. Robotnik is the only one with a flashlight, which he uses to locate the freedom fighters. www.geocities.com/silverstarr3224/
