Chromatin:

Chromatin is threadlike material in the nucleus that stores information about the cell. When a cell is about to divide, the chromatin groups together into a number of bent rods called chromosomes. Chromosomes contain all of the information that a cell needs to go on its life processes. Chromosomes are made out of a complex chemical known as DNA. Chromatin is always confined within the nucleus until when the cell is in the process of dividing.
