     Golgi bodies refine proteins delivered from the endoplasmic reticulum. After remanufacturing the proteins, golgi bodies deliver the proteins throughout the cell or may be able to store the proteins for future use.. Golgi bodies are formed when small pieces of membrane are pinched away from the cell. The size and number of golgi bodies depends on the quantity of chemicals needed to be produced in the cell.
