Painting in the chapel of tomb No. 96 of the Mayor of These, Sen-nufer, at Western Thebes. Reign of Amenophis II, Middle XVIII Dynasty.

Sen-nufer and his wife Meryt, are being lustrated by the ritual priest who pours a stream of purifying water over them...In addition to wearing the fillet tied around her brows, Meryt, holding a lotus flower, wears large gold earrings, and bracelets and armlets to match her Board Collar. In her right hand she carries the menyet amulet of gold, red and blue beads [See Fig. 1 ]; and in her left, a formal bouquet and a golden sistrum, the latter for use in her capacity as a 'Singer of Amun.' 1
