Kannada, the language

Kannada is a dravidian language,  spoken predominantly in the souther Indian state of Karnataka. Like most other Indian languages it is a highly phonetic language. Consisting of 50 alphabets, the modern version of Kannada is easy to learn. There are a few sites which even teach it on-line. For example, you can try
