The House of Wisdom was first conceived as Steel Music Entertainment (SME) in 2016. Very little activity was prevalent in SME aside from only a couple live performances were released on the Steel FaceBook page. A couple years later in 2019, the record label had changed its name to Steel Music Records (SMR) It had also went through its first publishing of Steel's first EP Endless Cycle. The year after that, SMR had renamed itself to SoupTube (derived from the colloquial Souptown) for a brief period of time before ultimately being renamed to the House of Wisdom.

The House of Wisdom is devoted to have many musical artists from the Twin Ports area to have their music heard to the general public.
