Yes I have. In plain
English, complementing him on his fine sense of humour. Of
course he replied in his own particular way.
After
looking at the fan art, I really hope that that guy who's
making Capt. Yobob is getting someone at least as good as
Conrad to do the
art. I mean, at least it's a step up.
I'm going to
mail him again and ask him to notify me of
updates. _________________ I don't necessarily agree

'Nuff said. Well, maybe not.. Have
you applied for a job at his 'sight' yet Chris? I think you've
got all the necessary skills.

I had been up 2 days in a
row... my english/typing was suffering as well as my eyes.
I was kind of nervous and stayed up 2 days in a row...
I start my college courses in web design today. I am very
nervous about it since I have never been to college before.
It's a shame people can't be understanding. _________________ Chris Cromer

Haven't you ever seen
Animal House? If people like that can get into/stay in
college, it can't be that big of a deal.
I also
recommend taking long walks, meaning ones that take you so far
from your house that you can no longer see it. It's a real
learning experience. _________________ If blonds really

Well I am back from my
first day there. Boring as hell, I studied buisness
techniques, working in teams, and other buisness related
things... I thought I was taking web design?
Why do you assume I havn't walked far enough
away from my house to see it? _________________ Chris

I dunno, Chris. Maybe it's
the fact that everything seems to scare you.
And also,
college courses always start with basics. Besides, people who
pursue a career of web design do it for... watch out, this is
a real twist... BUSINESSES! _________________ If blonds

BUSINESSES! | Well
that might be true... too bad this isn't the field I want to
go into though. I want to become a programmer, but they didn't
offer any programming courses, so I got the next best thing I
guess. The thing that really sucks is that they are going
over stuff I already know, I took buisness courses in 9th
grade. _________________ Chris Cromer

College professors seem to
be under the mistaken impression that would-be programmers are
the types who want to make their way up the corporate ladder,
which requires teamwork, effective communication skills, and a
comprehensive understanding of business processes.
Most programmers I know would prefer to stay hidden in
their cubicles hashing out code all day with as little contact
with coworkers as possible (unless said coworkers are ALSO
working on said code). The mere THOUGHT of getting promoted
into management scares the hell out of me.
I'm
currently taking a Business Communication course, and it's the
single worst class I've ever had. Period. Even worse that
those damn Lit courses. We have to give oral presentations to
the class (without notes! ) and write all kinds of bullsh*t that adheres to
such ideas as "don't use negative language" and "make all
works reader-oriented". If I write someone a memo, it's most
likely going to be blunt, unfeeling, and usually negative.

Look at it this way,
Chris... even if you never use those business skills yourself,
(which you probably will without realizing it, but anyhoo...)
it'll at least give you a glimpse into the mindset of the
average business management type.
That way, when they
ask you to design something ugly and difficult-to-use that
they had in mind (and after my five months experience at a
graphic design place, I can assure you they will), you'll be
familiar enough with their psychology to be able to instead
make them what you had in mind, something actually attractive
and useful, and convince them that it's still exactly what
they asked for/better than what they asked for.
Peace

Yeah that might help me out
to understand them. I learned about a few problems with
buisness professionals... they said that stress leads to,
depression, nausiousness, self rejection, and a feeling like
everything that can go wrong will go wrong, I guess this means
I am a stressfull person. _________________ Chris Cromer
