SierraGamers.com
is *finally* back online
As the topic says. By Ken Williams himself. Didn't see the
announcement anywhere, sorry if this has been posted already. Go
check it out. Tierra is in the links area.

OH WOW.... this is totally awesome! I was wondering if we'd ever
hear from them again... I notice they even have a link to Tierra!!!
It appears they know about Tierra. He's mentioned wanting to make
more games. Maybe he could team up with the AGD's... hehe... they
have always talked about releasing commercial games... that would be
soooo cool!

Re:

Finally. I was starting to think the site was a permanent
fertilizer by now.
The site has been known for a long time as
Sierra-online.com. Things haven't been easy for SG since their host
has wiped them out more than once. It's good to see they're starting
to get back in the running. AFAIK, the website is maintained by
Jouke Koning. Ken and Roberta are affiliated with it (and yeah, OF
COURSE they knew about us), although I don't think they're actively
involved with it. The site used to be quite big with plenty of info
on Sierra, concept art and a
forum.

Yeah, I talked with Jouke on several occasions. I remember it from
those days. Then it was down for a long time, with continual
promises. But Erpy, take a close look at it now. It appears as if
the site is now back directly into the hands of Ken
Williams.

Oh my gosh. Look at the links page, and go to the one where
Williams comments at how terrible it is. I nearly wet myself. The
best part is the music in the reviews page.

The funny thing was that on a whim I went there the day it set back
up. I meant to say something about it but it just left my mind. I
just favorited it and left. I was like, "woa...I could be, like, the
first person to ever stumble onto this place since it went up
again...woa..." It was, needless to say, awesome.

Woah! Sierra Gamers has introduced me to one of the best Sierra
sites around. This guy must have put alot of hard work into his
site, he couldn't even be bothered to spell it
properly.

Can anyone actually recognise the music, it sounds like something
out of Super Mario. He must be about 7 years old.

Re:

Here's my favorite parts of the web site. These are from the Links
section:
Quote:
lucasARTs tehy maid the rare indieana jonsgaymes fore
seira! aslo they maid the so yoo want too bee a heero monkie
iland gaymes
He thinks that LucasArts made
games for Sierra. He also has created a new series of games "So You
Want to be a Hero Monkey Island".

teira entartanement gess wut guies? seira si bak!! no i aim not
kidng arond! thay our maiking al the ould seira gaymees again!
butt thay hav chainged ther naim too draw knew fayns! thay our
know Teira Entartanement!
Well, here's a shout out to
Tierra. Unfortunately, he seems to think that you guys are the
original Sierra team, changing your name to "draw new
fans".
Did you also notice that in the review section, his
game screenshots come from GoodOldAdventures?
Argh! That
music truly hurts!

That whole website is a circus. It's actually just a huge thing
making fun of these illiterate spam posters that appear on the
Subspace Channel all too frequently. True, I can only stand that
site for about 10 minutes, but it's great for a laugh. It shouldn't
really be taken sireeus--uh, seriously.

Huh, I don't know how Ken created this site, but my computer
seems to be having trouble exploring it successfully. oh well. He
says they're retired?.. I'm glad they're doing well.
