Okay, I'll be using Flash 8 for this tutorial and in case you didn't download the pic of Tom Hanks from my thread on Animation Forum, you can download it here. (Please click on the double arrows next to the Yahoo Geocities logo on the right for full view. A pain but that's why it's free to be here :))
Remember, this is just a guidline and you will have to practice these techniques until you're satified with YOUR results. I am not a professional caracaturist but this way works for me. If it works for you, then you can use your own painting style to add your touch to them. Please don't sue me and be patient. I tend to write alot!
