Master Vincent Angel Cabales Jr

Many people have had the privilage to learn from my Grandfather. People like Guro Danny Inosanto, who helped Bruce Lee to develope Jeet Kune Do the Philosophy of the Intercepting Fist. Serrada gave them the foundation for Filipino Martial Arts.in JKD.
Danny had parts in movies with Bruce Lee, and Steven Seagual and others.
My Grandpa himself had a part as a trainer in the movie Enforcer From Death Row with Leo Fong.
In 1991 my Grandfather was inducted into The Black Belt Martial Arts Hall of Fame As Intructor of The Year.

Hello, my name is Vincent Angel Cabales Jr. I started training in my Grandfather Angel Cabales' Filipino Martial Art known as Serrada Escrima, when I was only six years old.

In 1966 my Grandfather Grandmaster Angel Cabales began teaching his system of Escrima publicly becoming refered to as the Father of Escrima in America. In 1968 he began reffering to his system of Escrima as 'Serrada; which means 'to close or to close the distance between you and your opponent.

My Grandfather, the Late Great Grandmaster Angel Cabales, in 1990, the year before he died, appointed my Dad Vincent Angel Cabales Sr. to take over the Serrada Academy as Grandmaster. In 1991, my Grandpa Angel was awarded the Black Belt Hall of Fame 'Weapons Instructor of the Year Award'. My Dad, has been appointed as Senior Advisor in the Filipino Martial Arts Collective Society. On July 5th. 1999 my Father Grandmaster Vincent Angel Cabales Sr. was, inducted into the "Filipino Martial Arts hall Of Fame," and honored as the 'Outstanding Grandmaster Instructor of The Year,' and my Grandfather Angel Cabales was honored with a "Lifelong Achievement Memorial Escrima Award," both by Grandmaster Ruby and the United States Kali Association Filipino Martial Arts Hall of Fame, in El paso, Texas.
In Cabales Serrada Escrima, both the Advanced and Master Instructors teach and promaote only with permission from the Grandmaster, according to the agreement on their diplomas. Grandmaster Vincent Angel Cabales, is the only person qualified to promote students to the levels of Advanced Degree and Master's Degree in Cabales Serrada Escrima.
