After doing his Under graduation from Madras University and post graduation from Madurai, Dr.P. Namperumalsamy obtained his VR Fellowship from University Illinois, Chicago, Boston and Harvard. He started his teaching career from 1970 onwards when he joined the Madurai Medical College as an Assistant Professor Ophthalmology and is still pursuing the same field as the Director Arvind Eye Hospital Madurai.He has been Honoured with various awards like P Sivareddy Oration Gold Medal, CS Reshmi Award, Rustom Ranji Oration Gold Medal , etc. A widely respected teacher, he has been aptly awarded the best teacher Award in 1998.He has published more than 60 articles in national and international journals and authored various chapters in different text-books. |
