To accomplish our goals noted in the policy statement
one must push for our goals. Those who do not ask for anything are never
disappointed. We, therefore must ask and push and then ask and push again
and again until our goals are achieved.
Join with us
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
1- CURE POST-POLIO SYNDROME RESEARCH CAMPAIGN
Write a letter. Don't email one. Support us in trying to secure
more funds for NIH-NINDS and other groups which do Post-Polio
Syndrome research to find a cure for PPS. Write also to your Congressional representative and your Senator
2- DRUG IMPORTATION FROM OUTSIDE US
Help us to stop the Administration actions in preventing us from importing approved FDA drugs from outside the United States at a cheaper price..
Write a letter to your reprsentatives in congress. See Sample letter
3- SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY INSURANCE RETENTION CAMPAIGN
Support us in stopping the Administration
which is trying to avoid giving and attempting to take back Social Security
Disabilities Benefits.
Note: Information has been received that the SSA has revised its proceedure regarding PPS making it easier for Polio Survivors to receive disability benefits and stoping the attempt to discontinue the benefits. Nothing like success. End of Campaign
4- POLIO VACCINATION (SABIN VS SALK) CAMPAIGN
Help us spread the word
that The Sabin vaccination can give anyone polio,
and that the Salk vaccination can not give anyone polio
Note: Effective January 1, 2000 the CDC is recommending only the Salk Polio vaccine. A Major and gradifying victory. End of this program
5- THE PRESENT POLIO MOVEMENT VS THE MARCH OF DIMES
Help us and the Polio Movement
to regain what belongs to all Polio Victims from the March of Dimes.
