Retired from U. S. Navy in 1978 after 20 years as a Radioman! Second career in the automobile business.  Completely retired at the age of 49 in 1990.

President and founder, Florida DXPedition Group, Inc.(FDXPG, Inc.) , member of the Orange Park Amateur Radio Club (OPARC), North Florida Amateur Radio Society (NOFARS), and Member of ARRL.

On DXCC Honor Roll with all but one entity confirmed,  DX Century Club member for RTTY, CW, SSB, and Mixed DXCC, and also 5BDXCC.

Enjoys DXPeditions and contesting.  Couple contesting high lights are winning the 1997 North America World-wide RTTY DX Contest were we set new North American Record as KG4GC and 2nd World – 1st North America in the 1997 WW RTTY WPX Contest as KG4GC. Was FDXPG DXPedition leader to various locations outside USA for past 10 years were we participated and won first place in the CQWW SSB Contests!

 First licensed as WA4SFY in 1963. Other U.S. calls held KQ4GC and WT4K. Retired in 2001 after 35 years civil service with the U.S. Government. First licensed as KE4ERU in 1993 and since 1997, have 307 countries confirmed. Licensed as KG4CM in Guantanamo Bay since 1995 and have worked three CQWW SSB contests from Gitmo. One with the KG4ZE team & two as KG4CM. Was also a member of the KG4GC team that set a new NA RTTY record in the 1997 CQWW RTTY contest from Gitmo. My wife, (WN1L) & I made the first  2 meter ssb contact to the U.S. from Gitmo in 1996 and I made the first 60 meter ssb contact from Gitmo in 2003. Also in 2003, David Price, KG4DP, & I activated the Windward Point lighthouse in Gitmo (GTM-001) as KG4LH. In June, 1998, Richard, KE4GWH & Dean, W4WHN & I activated Howell Key in the Florida Keys. The island was previously owned by the man that invented the parking meter. I've operated as W4DFU at the Seahorse Key & lighthouse activation in 2001 with the University of Florida Amateur Radio Club, HI9/N1WON (HI9X) from the Dominican Republic in the 2002 CQWW SSB contest, HKØ/N1WON (5JØX) in the 2003 CQWW SSB contest from San Andres, from Dominica in Oct. 2004, as J79CM (J75J) in the CQWW SSB contest, and from Anguilla as VP2ECM in 2005 . I enjoy working HF, RTTY, 2M & 6M SSB. I'm a member of the ARRL, North Florida DX Association, University of Florida Radio Club & the Florida DXpedition group. I'm the qsl manager for 5JØX & I save stamps for a friend so if you have any that you don't want, please send them my way.
