Student Achievement. It is imperative that students receive the finest education possible to adequately prepare them for the future. Continuous improvements are required in order to provide students with the best teachers, resources and facilities available. The board has made significant strides to promote student achievement through research, development and implementation of programs such as the A+ program, Character Plus, Accelerated Reading as well as utilization of school resource officers and qualified community volunteers. Additional work is needed to further improve MAP Test Results and ACT scores through curriculum enhancements. If elected, I plan to represent the community and Grandview alumni by using my education and business skill set to assist the board in meeting its goals to provide the best overall education to the students of Grandview R-2.
Curriculum. The school strives to provide an educational curriculum that meets the needs of all students. If elected, I would support continuing curriculum assessments that expand academics, arts, special area studies and vocational/technical studies to adequately prepare students for future college and career endeavors.
Facilities. New buildings, expansions and upgrades have been necessary to meet the needs of the students, staff and administration. If elected, I support campus safety improvements, technological upgrades and additional facilities as needed to offer students the finest school experience.
