The business end of the old Dodge. It carried 1000 litres of water, but only carried three crew and had limited capacity for carrying all the equipment we needed. |
The Bedford was a larger capacity truck, but still only carried three crew. It had a stainless steel tank of 1000 litres and a main pump powered by a four cylinder Reliant engine. We had extra locker space built and rebuilt the pump instrumentation. |
