David's Fire Page 2
On this page, you will see the various appliances (trucks) we have had over the years.

Originally, the fire station had a Willys Jeep (fleet 402). This was replaced by an International (fleet 401) in December 1990. In Feb 1991, the International was replaced by the Dodge (fleet 421).

The business end of the old Dodge. It carried 1000 litres of water, but only carried three crew and had limited capacity for carrying all the equipment we needed.

The Dodge was replaced by the Bedford (fleet 440).

The Bedford was a larger capacity truck, but still only carried three crew. It had a stainless steel tank of 1000 litres and a main pump powered by a four cylinder Reliant engine. We had extra locker space built and rebuilt the pump instrumentation.

The "business end" of the Bedford, showing the new instrument panel and the new lockers.

The Bedford was replaced by the ACCO (fleet 454).
Our old appliance, an International Acco twin cab, which carried six crew, 1800 litre of water, and all our rescue equipment, breathing apparatus, and firefighting equipment.

The "business end" of the Acco, showing the inlets and outlets of the main pump (Mars), standpipes, auxiliary pump (lower right) , generator (lower left), hosereel, ladders and suction pipes (upper left). Flaked delivery hose is stored in the rear lockers.

The Acco was replaced by a Mitsubishi (fleet 393).
We received this pumper on 24th May 2002.

The Mitsubishi was replaced on 15th June 2005 by the Isuzu (fleet 900) The first brand new appliance the station has had.

Despite it's small size, this pumper carries all of our equipment, plus on-board foam proportioner and foam tank. It carries 1000 litres of water, but makes up the deficiency with the foam.

Some of the temporary appliances we have had......

The Firepac Area Spare (fleet 442), which we had for a few weeks in November 03.

The Ford 350 Appliance, that replaced the Firepac in late November 03 and which we had until mid January 04, when we received our Mitsubishi back.
