Wider-Vased

" . . . And for your noble work no payment claim
                      Your art alone your wage."

                                                                             Boris L. Pasternak

The toilet bowl of my proud eye
Dissolves papermills in the night fright
They are witnesses to the podium,
They watch the negatives of my
Furniture shop heroics.

They will fail, somehow.
Every time they look at their watches
There will be a warning for gods to
Heed the con traffic of correction fluid hopes,
The eternity of tiled roofs in the tired

Deceptions of a wider-vased architecture.
Oh they may not understand a flag
Signal you might send.
But the entire purchase for their souls
Will stampede a polish on your cries

Till the keys over your new accumulation
Sound off roman candles,
Knock on the hardwood of a head
Intent on its announcements,
Pry for brevet.

Whether it's true the weather of
Life's circuits
Are going to fall on us more increases
I do not know.
I am only the supervisor.
