About The Poet

Vicente-Ignacio Soria de Veyra was born in Tacloban City, Leyte Island. After resigning from a post as a creative partner of an ad team in Manila, he now lives in Leyte province in the Visayas islands where he is completing a rock opera libretto while writing scientifc and historical source adaptations for Bato Balani and Magica magazines for high school.
De Veyra is the author of five other volumes of poetry and a book of stories, all of which were published by Down With Grundy, Publisher (Bulacan).
His first novel and Waray poetry collection are presently nearing completion and will hopefully also be released as online books.

While dabbling in drawing and painting in his studio, he is also intent on finishing his third unproduced, unpublished screenplay-novel. How People Respond to Them is de Veyra's sixth book-length poetry collection (or eighth, as his first and second collections were two-in-ones).
