A Catholic Divorce

The exchanges of forced love, like love's selfishness & longing,
Inhabits your relationship seemingly; seamless the consistency
Of long hours with each other ending in short spats that last
Till the customary patching up, with everything forgotten
So nothing’s resolved. Glimpses of hate behind voices
Cannot be denied though constantly admitted by no one.
And oneness’ glitches hang tight on a waiting eternity, till
A decision is made (if a conclusion is going to be made at all):

An option in tradition—live a sort of love through it all, with
Catholic churchbells’ nature taking its course, and endless toll.
