Because we believe there are still a lot of people out there between the age of 5 and 50 who are poets, born between 1948 and 1994, who need to have access to the mike. Because in the Yi King (or I Ching, if you will), 4 is the hexagram of youth and innocence, 8 the hexagram of seeking union, 9 the number for the hexagram of "a minor restraint," and 8 and 9 inside 4 could just be the representative numbers for a logo for so-called "upstarts," or a new generation of voices, whether these alternative voices belong to 5-, 16-, 27-, or 49-year-olds. Furthermore, 48 at the beginning of this banner would call the hexagram representing a watersource, a well, a village's central fountain.

If you really need to ask, 4894 Ask (1986 RJ) is a Main-belt Asteroid discovered on September 08, 1986 by Jensen, P. at Brorfelde. But should that offer no answer, how about the fact that on April 8, 1994 the body of Kurt Cobain---songwriter and frontman of the American band Nirvana---was found dead at his Lake Washington home?

Anyway, 4894 just happens to be the War Photos Museum's den number in Geocities' SoHo village at the time we put up this site! We don't know about you, but naming this wall after this den's number is the only fitting homage we can afford right now.
