Can you help?

Volunteers are essential to our cause to keep the Scrap store running as smoothly as possible, so, if you are interested you could help in the following ways by:

·        Talking to friends and families about what the scrap store can offer

·        Passing on copies of this leaflet to someone who could use or supply the scrap store

·        Assisting in collecting materials from companies

·        Helping to arrange things neatly in the scrap store

·        Making some examples showing how the scrap can be used

·        Any other way that suits you

Who manages the store?

From December 1st 2001, a voluntary management committee consisting of parents, childminders, out of school and playscheme workers who contribute to children’s play, has managed the store. All groups identified the need for a local scrap store where they can pick-up unwanted materials given by local companies, for use within their own groups where child centred play is high on the agenda. If you would like to know more about the Scrapstore or would like to become a member, then don’t delay call the office today!
