Ashuapmushuan River: Notice to Paddlers

I want very much to recognize and convey my thanks to a member of your organization and I am not sure how I can do this. I have found your address through the Quebec Canoe and Kayak Federation and hope that you would assist me to emphasize, in this dedication, a very special member of your Club. As I wish to remain anonymous, I am asking your kind assistance in carrying out this special request. Perhaps you have a newsletter and if so, would publish my letter.

Here is my story.

Our group had decided to do a canoe trip on the Ashuapmushuan River in Quebec. We chose this river because of its easy access. It seemed to us to be the best choice as a member of our group had done the trip eight years ago and had not found it to be particularly difficult. We had also agreed that, as some members of the group had not canoed before, we should therefore pick a river that would be easy for every member of the group. Thus we embarked on this wonderful adventure - one week with our friends, canoeing this beautiful, remote wilderness river. There were seven girls and one boy between the ages of 15 and 18 as well as four guides under the age of 25.
