Art improves the quality of our lives. It lifts our spirits, and supplies an emotional need, not only in the creation of it, but also in the appreciation of it. It is our thoughts and emotions that make us what we are. We need to give ourselves more time to think and feel. Art helps to supply this need.
I have painted in many styles over the years, and my subject matter has varied greatly (seascapes, landscapes, still-lifes, portraits, old buildings, romantic ruins, Popart, and Surrealist subjects). Although largely self-taught, I had three years formal art-training in college.
