The Scott Family

The Scott Family lived in Newtongrange at The Dean Oilworks where my grandfather and his father had been managers. My father ventured into the World of Coal.

My fathers mother was an Ormiston and is mentioned in a published Family Tree called “The Ormistons of Teviotdale”, as are two other ancestors from my mother’s family. The Cossar Family

The Cossar Family lived in Dean Park, Newtongrange, and my grandfather was a miner and my uncle an engineer in the mines.

My mother’s mother was a Pryde and there has been a lot of research into this name and also into Cossar.
