This British
based Guild was founded in 1989 with the intention
of bringing together straw workers, raising the standards
of straw work, both produced and taught, and increasing
knowledge about the subject. There are over 100 members
including straw workers from overseas.
A business document,
The Guild News Update,
is issued mid-June, listing Suppliers and Courses.
The venue changes year by year. Brentwood, Essex is the location for the 2008 Conference. At the Conference we have guest speakers, workshops, and competitions.
and for those who like to stretch themselves the Master Craftsman Award in General and/or Specialist Categories is now available.
(1st June 2008 to 31st May 2009). Overseas members pay extra to contribute toward postage costs. Payment must be sent as � sterling.
