Amy Green Asks: Good afternoon! First, let me say that you have one of the most professonal-looking game sites I have come across on the Net. Second, now that you've probably come quite a ways in FFVIII, I have a question for you. Have you found a quick, easy way to raise your SeeD rank? Mine keeps dropping (i'm now on disc 3) and I'm sure it's because I've spent too much time dawdling/exploring in between missions. Any help or advice would be appreciated! Thank you!

Video Gamer X Says: Yes, you're right Amy, this game does seem to demerit you for wandering and wasting time, but this can be easily averted. Press the (Circle) button to open your Menu, go down to Tutorial, and press (X). Then go down to TEST, to take the SeeD written test. If you pass the test with 100% accuracy your rank will increase by 1. These tests challenge your knowledge of Final Fantasy VIII, so a true gamer will look for the answers themselves, but if you are totally stumped you can take a peek at the answer on this page.

Alot of People Asked me: What does "Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec" mean?

Video Gamer X Says: I suppose I could leave you hanging for all time and drive you nuts looking though latin dictionaries but I won't do that. Here's the secret, if you rearrange the letters, you have the following phrase, "Succession of Witches" and the Word "Love" So there you have it mystery solved. It's an Anagram.

Chad Asks: Me and my friends are always arguing about the correct pronunciation of Chocobo. I was wondering if you know the correct(according to Square) way to say it. If not, How do YOU say it?

Video Gamer X Says: You know this reminds me of a similar question someone asked me once about the proper pronunciation of "Ocarina." First off, lets look at the word itself. "Chocobo" is a three syllable word like thus Cho-Co-Bo with the middle syllable being stressed making a, "coh," sound. How you personally pronounce this word may directly depend upon what part of the country you live in. For instance, in New York you may say it like, Cah-ca-bo, or in Bosten/New Jersey you may say Cha-ca-ba. With a southern accent you may say this word as Chuck-a-boo. Some may say it, "Choke-a-boe" The way I say this word is, "Cho (as in choke) - coe (as in coefficient) - boe (as in boat)" I say the the first two syllables faster like, "Cho'co"-then comes the "bo"

Squall539 Asks: WHERE DO I FIND THE OCCULT FAN 3 MAGAZINE, I cant find it anywere!!!! Thanks.

Video Gamer X says: I hate to tell you this but, you've probably progressed much further than Fisherman's Horizon in the game so you will not be able to get it at this time, sorry, but it is obtainable in the game. When you first arrive at FH, walk past the big crane until you get to the big rusty white column(?) and if you look at the wall you will faintly see a ladder. Essentally it's a rusty line connecting the big crane to a junky littler crane underneath. If you press X near the wall here you will find it. Keep following the path and find the ladders until you find the Old Master Fisherman at the end of a crane under an umbrella. Talk to him and when the choice comes up ask him "What are you talking about?" He will give you a copy of Occult Fan III and invite you to meet him at the Inn Later. If you listen through the conversation you will get a Megalixer as well.

Phantm004 Asks: I'm already deep into disc 3, and I've missed a few of the GFs that you can draw out of bosses earlier in the game (i.e. Siren, Carbuncle)...I was wondering if there was a way to get these GFs after the first chance. Great site, keep up the good work! Thanks!

Video Gamer X Says: Actually, there is hope depending on how far you've gone. After you unlock the Draw Ability in Ultimecia's Castle you can draw missed Guardian Forces from several of the Bosses. Draw Siren from "Tri-Point." Draw Leviathan from "Trauma." Draw Pandemonia from "Red Giant." Draw Carbuncle from "Krysta." Draw Cerberus from "Gargantua." Draw Alexander from "Catoblepas." And draw Eden from "Tiamat." Thank goodness for this or gamers who didn't draw these earlier in the game would be at a disadvantage.
