YOUR IMPRESSIONS

I've played Final Fantasy IX, and now it's your turn to express the way you interpreted this game and describe the experience you had. Some questions to ponder while you write your essay could be: Was this game better than Final Fantasy VIII? What character stood out most? What would you have changed? What does this game say about the future of Squaresoft and the Final Fantasy Series? I look forward to any creative and interesting input that fans and gamers can offer on this superlative game.

[email protected] Explains: Well, the game is definatly a trip back to the old school Final Fantasy, which is a GOOD THING. FFVIII was way too futuristic! Besides, I hated the battle system in FFVIII - No characters had individual skills besides limit breaks that made them unique. Now, we've got a battle system similar to FFVI in FFIX, and I love it. I'm only on the disc 3, so the little I have to say about the villain is that he's weak. He often abuses the laugh "mwahahaha!". It just gets irritating...Anyways, I'm sure that he'll get more interesting as the story progresses because I haven't heard too many negative things said about the villain. On a more positive note, the graphics are superb (and I like how Square went back to the "dwarf body" characters!). So far, FFIX has been great.
