KU KU KUPO!
In keeping with its retrospective nature, Final Fantasy IX, pays respect to those little fuzzy guys that we remember and cherish from Final Fantasy VI (Final Fantasy III here in the United States) and Secret of Mana. What is a Moogle? It's a fuzzy white bearlike creature with stubby bat wings, slanty eyes, and a single an antenna with a fluffy ball on it. They have also been referred to as Mogs. Moogles love Kupo nuts. Give a Moogle a kupo nut and he will be your friend for life. "Ku, Ku, Kupo!!!"
In Final Fantasy IX, we found Moogles inhabiting every possible corner of Gaia, and even a couple of these guys just so happened to find themselves in Terra. They are easy going critters often willing to write down your journeys, sell you items for your quest, pitch a tent for you, and even tell you helpful hints on how to play the game. In FFIX, they have a new form of communication called MogNet where they keep in touch with each other by writing letters. You know... I think they should have stuffed Moogles that you could go out and buy or like-Moogle Furbies.
