INTRODUCTION FROM THE WEBMASTER

You have come to this site searching for something, a place where you want to grow closer to something wonderful. The haven you seek exists at the nexus of your imagination and a distant place beyond human grasp. Video Games, have transcended being simple forms of entertainment, embellishing storylines, characters, and settings as grandiose as those depicted in literature and film. This new millennium that we have been borne into by the river of earthly time has potential to be the most profoundly tranformative in the human experience. Interactive Computer Entertainment endured its infancy during the end of last century. Final Fantasy X utilizing the technological prowess of the Playstation 2 brings gamers and fans of the series to the new age of interactive gaming, and contemporary RPG's. This will be my fourth Final Fantasy related website in honor of something that has been a part of my life for many years. If you are new to my sites then I welcome you to my world, a realm where I refrain from limitations and strive to write compelling and interesting commentary and material focused on not only games but issues beyond gaming.

Final Fantasy X represents the birth of a new age for the series. In fact, this is the third age, where gone are the pre-rendered backgrounds, midi music, and text based dialogue, replaced by lush three dimensional environments, complete vocal dialogue, and full orchestral quality sound samples and operetic vocals. Final Fantasy X is a game that ushers indrastic yet welcomed changes in the course of the series. Much as Final Fantasy VII was a quantum leap beyond Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy X goes beyond it's predecessor to deliver so much more in terms of depth and immersiveness.

Final Fantasy X is the culmination of over a decade of making adventures come alive through active player involvement and creative storytelling. This flagship of Squaresoft has always compelled gamers to give a small portion of their lives in reverance to a masterpiece. What the future hold for this series, seems to be a direction of online player involvement with Final Fantasy XI and XII being multiplayer. I must admit that I am somewhat apprehensive about Final Fantasy converting to an online multiplayer game. In many ways, I feel the intemacy between the player and the experience of game will be lost in excessive and unwarranted competition. Perhaps there is a place in the infinite vastness of this universe where manifestations of our dreams reside, and a world not unlike that found in this Fantasy is truly real.

I looked behind, and I saw everything that I was. I looked forward and saw something so wonderous I was compelled to run toward it. It seemed so close, yet so far. Although my my feet ache, I will never stop moving toward this incredible sight.
