Independent Materia Effect Description
Cover V +01 Take hits for others occasionally, 5 Levels, level indicates the chance of taking hits.
Chocobo Lure L +01 Increase chances of encountering a Chocobo, 4 Levels, level indicates the chance of meeting Chocobos.
Enemy Lure L -01 Increase chances of encountering an enemy, 3 Levels, level indicates number of encounters.
Enemy Away L +01 Lowers chances of encountering an enemy, 3 Levels, level indicates lower number of encounters.
Long Range   Retaining the same damage done to enemy even if character is on the rear side of the team, and able to attack distant enemies, 2 Levels
Counterattack   Randomly counters if attacked, 5 Levels, level indicates the chance of countering.
Pre-emptive D +02 Increase Rate of pre-emptive attacks, 5 Levels, level indicates the chance of Pre-emptive attacks.
Luck Plus   Increases Luck, 5 Levels
Magic Plus   Increases Magic, 5 Levels
Speed Plus   Increases Dexterity, 5 Levels
HP Plus   Increases Maximum HP, 5 Levels
MP Plus   Increases Maximum MP, 5 Levels
Gil Plus   Increases Gold after battle, 3 Levels
EXP Plus   Increases Experience points after battle, 3 Levels
HP <-> MP   Switches HP and MP Levels, 2 Levels
Underwater   Allows all members to breathe underwater, i.e. no time limit when fighting Emerald Weapon. 1 Level, cannot be mastered, 0 AP.
Mega All   Allows usage of Magic, Attacks, Commands on all enemies / Characters, 5 Levels, Level indicates number of times spell or command (except normal attacks) can be used on enemies.

When an Independent Materia's level increases, the additional ability will also increase. i.e. HP Plus (L1) 10% (L2) 20% ...... so on. This applies to all Plus Materias (except Gil and EXP).
