ENCUMBRANCE

It is only logical to assume that characters/units can not carry an infinite number of items, and that they can perform as well while carrying those items, thus Encumbrance is a factor in movement speed. Encumbrance defines the maximum weight a character can carry.
- When Encumbrance reaches 75% of Maximum Encumbrance Value character movement is reduced by 25%.
- At 100% Maximum Encumbrance Value character movement is Reduced by 50%.

-At 125% Maximum Encumbrance Character Movement is Reduced to 0%. At this point you must drop something to reduce encumbrance or character is unable to move from current position and Atk is reduced by 75%.

When encumbrance is determined, if the value is equal to or greater than a .5 of a whole number, round down. If greater than .5 of a whole number, round up.

Hero Encumbrance - If there is only one character in play, this character is classified as a hero (or possibly archvillian). Since this character is the solitary adventurer he/she is granted 150% encumbrance bonus, for the sake of acknowledging that they are somehow superior or more capable than a standard character.
Example:
Character Enc Val = 250, if that character is the Hero (all by himself) that character automatically has an Enc Val = 375.

Party Encumbrance - If you form a party, each character's encumbrance is added together to receive a total maximum encumbrance value. For Example:

Knight/Warrior Enc Val = 300, Wizard Enc Val = 100, Theif/Mercenary Enc Val = 200
That's 300+200+100 = 600 Total Encumbrance

Encumbrance of a single item can not be split between multiple members of the party. For Example: A Warrior with a Battleaxe with Enc = 75, can not distribute those Enc pts. to anyone else in the party other than himself. If a party is made up of more than one hero, (2 or more solitary heros/villians are in play and choose to form an alliance) only one of the heroes is granted the Encumbrance Bonus. Preferrably it would be the hero with the highest Maximum Encumbrance Value.

Enchantment Spells can be used to alter individual character/unit encumbrance values or total party encumbrance.

The "Watch Our Stuff" Rule - Prior to combat phase of a battle turn the player may opt to reduce the high encumbrance values of members of the party to 0, however one member of the party is excluded from battle. That member of the party chosen to "Watch your stuff" is unable to Attack, and takes damage as normal. This party member may use items on itself or other members of the party. To enable this, the player simply says, "Watch Our Stuff" and chooses one of the party members.
