SUBMISSION CRITERIA Each one of us has the ability to journey to places that exist not in this world but across the vast universe of the human imagination. The ability to express those visions and eloquently share them with others in form of the written word has been an artform that has manifested itself thoughout history. There have been many revered writers thoughout history: Moses, Homer, Milton, Shakespeare, Mark Twain, Edgar Allan Poe, Henry David Thoreau, Ernest Hemmingway, Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov, Frank Herbert, H. R. R. Tolkien, Ray Bradbury, Stephen King, Michael Crichton to name a few have captivated audiences for years if not centuries. Masterpieces created by these writers and poets continue to have lasting appeal with those who take the time to share in their worlds of unlimited fantasy. Stories, novels, and poetry on this site are not confined to a single genre, moreover I encourage diversity across the broad spectrum of literature. Submitted works can be fictional horror, gothic, fantasy, sci-fi, romance, esoteric, biographies, autobiographies, poetry, or non-fictional essays and book reviews. Feel free to let creativity roam free. My foremost goal in drafting this site is creating a forum for writers and artists to get exposure on their work. I want this to be the place where amateur fantasy and sci-fi authors can share their adventures and epic visons with the rest of the world. I am looking for genuine quality, and a degree of talent. To be accepted your story, novel, essay, or poem must be interesting and represent a noticable amount of effort. Literary works that are submitted to me with numerous spelling or grammatical errors and need of formatting will be ignored. Material that is formatted, proofread, and converted to HTML will take precedence over those submissions that must have these things done. Microsoft Word contains a spelling and grammar check tool that can aid you in making the necessary corrections. Sending the story in .doc format is acceptable as well, but HTML is better. Only submit one story at a time. All stories should be approximately 2000 words or greater depending upon the material. There is no minimum or maximun length for poetry. Some authors who are knowledgable in HTML may want to create a "cover page." Each writer is allowed one (1) cover page per story. You may include up to 5 images, preferably compressed, and 2 midi files. Sending in a story does not guarantee that it will appear on the site. By sending in your material you agree that it becomes property of Video Gamer X and the Unlimited Fantasy website subject to possible revisions or modifications (only done if absolutely necessary). You agree to have this material displayed publically free of charge or without payment. Please take pride in your work and others will take pride in you. ![]() Back to Unlimited Fantasy |
