GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS - 9/5/02

Having been online since 1997, I've seen a lot of changes on the internet, and so too my capability of programming websites and delivering the best content to my viewers has expanded since my meager beginnings with the Final Fantasy VII site. I've maintained a level of quality and focus on keeping up with the latest changes in technology and knowledge in the world of video games. In keeping with that theme the time has come to examine the current condition of the sites and make some changes. Over the next several months you will notice numerious revisions and additions to old and new sites I have been working on for years. Time constraints willing I want to get the work done as quickly as possible, but it will take some time. I've got incredible equipment and programs now capable of doing amazing things.

First and formost some technical upgrades will start appearing on the sites. I may start implimenting Flash animation, I've always shunned it for it's overall cheezyness but I have some ideas on how to make it attractive yet not annoying. I may just use other animation if Flash proves too time consuming and impractical. Furthermore, most of my sites were designed with a monitor resolution of 600x800 in mind since during the late 90's most monitors were surfing the internet at that resolution. Since many monitors and video cards have improved, I'm increasing the resolution of the entry portal pages to 1024x768, thus giving me more room for content, and page layout. The size and frequency of graphics may also increase on pages that were previously designed for 28.8kbps modem accessability. Since a huge majority of dail-up users are on 56kbps, with a growing percentage on broadband, I will be designing the sites with this in mind.

For broadband users, I may start implimenting a broadband site or links to broadband accessable downloads and information. There is a lot of unfinished content lying dormant on an old 233Mhz defunct PC, that I will be removing the hard drive from and reviving in the near future. There were a lot of cool articles on there, and tons of development material that I always wanted to use.

In 2003, I am going to start something big, mind you it will start small, but with the help of visitors like you, I could make it big and bring happiness to millions of young people between the ages of 13 - 30 across the United States. Trust me, if I get my idea off the ground, I could change the face of how teenagers and young adults get the things they want, and bring about a place where this generation can call their own.
