VIDEO GAMER X SPECULATES ABOUT FUTURE EPIC ZELDA

Okay I've watched the short trailer, I don't know how many times now, and I can say that this all bodes very well for Zelda, and the game that we will be playing. When talking with a long time fan of these sites and Zelda over AIM last night, "Nightcrawler," it was brought up that there was a golden or bronzed tinge to the video, and when I watched the trailer again something in my head clicked. First of all, it would appear that the events in some of those clips are occuring in what I remember as the "Dark World" from A Link to the Past. As any devoted Zelda fan knows the Dark World is actually the "Golden Land" a.k.a. the Sacred Realm twisted by the Evil of Ganon. You see in Zelda III: A Link to the Past, Ganon has been sealed in the Golden Land/Dark World which was a manifestation of his evil wishes after he touched the Triforce. This was accomplished by 7 Wise Men a few centuries before the events of Zelda III: LTTP. This occurred during a period called the Imprisoning War. Ganon used an evil wizard named Agahnim to unseat the King from the throne of Hyrule and then gather the 7 Maidens, one of which was Zelda, that were descendants through bloodline of the wise men who created the seal, and teleport them to the Dark World so that Ganon could use their combined powers to unseal himself from the Dark World and then spread war across the Light World. In Zelda LTTP Link had to use the Mirror to go between the dimensions. Could the events occuring in this new GameCube Zelda be from the Imprisoning War? You see the conflict I have is because the events of Ocarina of Time seem to me to be the Imprisoning War. Of course due to the centuries that passed between the timeline of Ocarina of Time and A Link to the Past, the literal understanding of the events surrounding the Imprisoning War could have been muddied thus terms like "7 Sages" was understood as "7 Wise Men." I seriously and always have believed that the events of Ocarina of Time were the Imprisoning War. However think about it, in A Link to the Past, the 7 Maidens were decendants of Hylians, not of Zora, Gerudo, Gorons, Kokiri, etc. So this gives me pause to rethink the idea that Ocarina of Time was in fact the Imprisoning War described about in A Link to the Past. Here's more vegetables to add to the stew. In the events of Zelda II: The Adventures of Link, all the towns are named after the Sages who sealed Ganon in Ocarina of Time, Ruto, Darunia, Saria, etc. Thus alluding to events from Ocarina of Time. In Wind Waker it is obvious that the Flood covered over a very expansive and widespread Hyrule, so the flood would have to have occured AFTER the events of Zelda II: The Adventues of Link. BUT, in Zelda III: LTTP The Mythology of Ganon is that he was once a Master Thief who who sought the Triforce and was distorted into an evil form, "Piggy Ganon" as he is known. In The Ocarina of Time Ganon is obviously in his humanoid Gerudo form, and he TURNS INTO Piggy Ganon thus setting the events of the future games in the Timeline into motion.

The Possible Updated Time Line of Zelda Games but there are some contradictions in the information in both Zelda III and TOOT.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (GAMEBOY)
The Legend of Zelda (NES)
The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time (N64)
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64
Zelda II: The Adventures of Link (NES)
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (GameCube)

OR...

THIS:

The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
The Legend of Zelda
Zelda II: The Adventures of Link
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

I left out Oracle and Seasons just because they are more or less sidestories that don't do much to describe the history and mythology of Hyrule.

Now getting back to this brand new GameCube Zelda, mark my words. Link WILL obtain the Triforce in this one. I have a good feeling many events in this new Zelda will be both remeniscent and similar to Zelda III or in someway related to Zelda III and also Zelda 64.

This is out on a limb, but maybe the Zora's will be enemies of the Hylians again.
